About Vali

—I was born in Brazil in a creative environment along with my sisters making clothes and accessories for around the house. For us, the fun was in the purpose of designing Alta Costura for our dolls imagining charming characters with much love. My mother, rooted in the German discipline taught us the skills while loving and caring for the five of us, sisters and brothers.

—When I was 15 the sudden loss of my mother had me and my little sister migrated to Mexico City to join my older sister, leaving behind my brothers and my father. Reunited, my sisters and I built great momentum that helped ease the pain and grief, designing wedding dresses. Our minds drifted for creativity. Embracing the Mexican culture I found new ways of expression through local textiles and colors. I learned that great departures can be met with equal arrivals. Mexico became my second home for 25 years!

—With years of practice, I have found that gently fabrics and suggesting shape yields the most elegant results. My linen clothing was soon spotted by travellers from abroad. I have studied various techniques and designs that have helped me cultivate a singular yet international style.

—Ten years ago I designed The Linen Cover I dearly call Fio.  Like in all beginnings I single-handedly made all the ponchos. This wonderful stage gave me beautiful insights while working with full vibrant colors and natures giving linen.  I am very proud about my life's story and grateful for having lived long enough in Brazil and México to feel each of them like Home.

—In 2019 my mother's German blood-line brought me to Germany with a complete list of challenges.  Nevertheless my intelectual property has come along in every country I have lived.

—I met Richi twenty years ago, a talented man in many fields who has supported my projects.

About Richi

—I was born in Mexico City and while growing up I enjoyed family members as artists. My first encounter with the arts was musical. I went to study drums and played for two decades, inspired by all the 70´s & 80´s incredible musicians.

—The school years gave me the entrepreneurial skills and sports the adrenaline to thrive!

—My second time at the arts was through the fantastic world of gemstones! They brought me the luck to start a much needed career. One with perpetual challenges and beautiful rewards like traveling to towns and countries to find the stones, soon to be set in jewellery. There is something very special about that to start with.

—Hand-fabricated jewellery grew with passion in me. The conquest of the tools and technical maneuvers of the goldsmith to build artistic expressions is as challenging as is fascinating. To playfully engage with gemstones and fine metals became a mission. The unique heavy feel of metals in the working hands, the geometrical shapes accomplished, the intense color of stones precisely embedded and trapped by the metal, all beautiful energy that flows from within to the piece of jewellery. A joyful bond to have in life..

—Vali has been a full blessing in my life.

Two Talents, One Passion for Creativity.

In 2006 we met in Mexico City. Since then we have worked together, encouraging each other’s skill and creativity. Our lives are intertwined with so many experiences together. In 2012 we decided to move to Baja California Sur to start a new chapter in our lives. There tourism nurtured and matured our experience. Lovely people from around the world adopted our colourful designs. This remote touristic location brought plenty of purpose to our goals. Since 2020 we live in Germany continuing our journey together growing our family.
